Here at 4-Ever Weddings and Events we feel you have several options when hiring your entertainment
1. Go For Cheapest DJ
This is the easiest way. Just call around and find the cheapest price and go with that company. We often find people that never hired a DJ before are making this mistake. The problem with this approach is that they assume all DJ's are the same and that any music at all is the right music for your party. If you like these methods then I recommend you save yourself even more money and just bring a CD player and throw in a few CD's. How can it hurt? Think about all the parties you've been too. You remember the one's that were really good and had a great DJ. Now remember the one's that really stunk. There is a difference.
2. Shop Around And Ask Questions
This is really the best method. You can try to find one that you feel comfortable with and fits your style and will give you the type of celebration you're looking for. Most of the DJ's I've seen are all pretty much in the same price range except those big flamboyant companies that charge you an arm and a leg and usually go way over the top. So don't let a matter of $50 or $100 difference have you make a decision that will change the outcome of your party. Get the DJ that fits for you.
3. Now Put It All In Perspective
Think about the total cost of your party. Let's use Wedding Receptions for example. Think about any Reception you attended. Can you remember what you ate or how it tasted even? Probably not, food was the most costly thing for the whole party. Can you remember if you had a good time or not? Most likely the DJ is usually one of the lower cost items at your reception and considering the one that can usually make or break the success of the party, is paid considerably less than food and often even less than the cake or flowers. So put things in perspective. Put your money where the memories are made. Go hire a Professional DJ it will be money well spent.
4. Our Price
While 4-Ever Weddings and Events may not be the cheapest DJ you can find. But then again we're not the most expensive either. We are somewhere around mid-range pricing and our customers feel that we are a great value for the price. Remember when checking pricing that we play for the whole party not like bands that take breaks and we have found that most receptions last between 4 and 6 hours but with all the preplanning, consultations, travel time, set up and tear down, selecting the right music the DJ averages over 20-30 hours for each wedding while most clients don't realize this. Then the price don't sound so bad.
5. What Goes Into Pricing
How much do you charge is normally the first question I get when someone contacts me about his or her event? And I will gladly give you a price with no obligation or sell you on something you don't want or need. All I ask is for a little information from you so I can give you a fair price for what you need or want simply because there is so much in determining what goes into the price, such as
1. The length of your event.
2. What type of event it is.
3. Date of the event.
4. Do you want extras like lights or karaoke?
5. What floor of the venue it's on.
6. Is the event in multiple rooms? Ex: Ceremony and reception.
7. How detail oriented you would like your event to be.
